Enjoyed Chic peas and Tandoori Roti. Tastes better than restaurants in India.

Not from Saskatoon, but the GFs mother is. Somehow I caught a reel of their grand opening and kept it in mind. Fast forward to tonight where I had the opportunity to take my GF out for her birthday supper The restaurant is located in the "Confederate Inn" but there is no sign outside yet indicating that it exists. It was about about 7:45 on a Sunday and we were the only ones in there. The service was great and the food was wonderfully tasteful. We asked for extra spicy and we were not disappointed, even though our server questioned or sanity lol. The fish pakora we started with, was tasty and perfectly cooked. Our mains were butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, and rice pulao served with garlic naan. Butter chicken was beautifully sauced, though the chicken may have been frozen, not fresh. Not a big detractor. The tikka masala was the star of the meal IMHO. I also had a mango lassi and it was one of the thickest I have ever received. We found the portions to be a bit smaller than we are accustomed to in Wainwright or Edmonton, but we felt overall, that the price was fair. The only thing I felt that they missed out on, would have been a little show of acknowledgement for my partners birthday. Over all, I'd give the experience a 7.7/10. Good luck! Oh, I should also mention that they also have a full "Canadian" menu available.

Oh my gosh, the food was absolutely incredible! The tandoori chicken was so flavorful, it was like a burst of taste in my mouth. And the lamb curry? It was absolutely divine - one of the best I’ve ever had! You absolutely must try the paprika-chat and coconut rice too, they were both so delicious.

Absolutely loved the thali here! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The rice was perfectly cooked and fragrant, the naan was soft with just the right amount of char, and the curries (dal and mixed veg) were rich and comforting. The samosa was crispy and came with a delicious chutney. The sweet dish at the end was a nice touch—creamy and not too sweet. A great balance of spice and taste overall. Highly recommend this spot for authentic Indian food!

The Tandoori Chicken Leg was tender and juicy, with a perfect smoky char from the tandoor. The marinade had a bold mix of spices, offering a rich, slightly tangy flavor with a hint of heat. A satisfying and flavorful bite every time.

Really good food even though the inn is a bit dingy. The chana masala was probably the best out of any restaurant in Saskatoon. everything else was also delicious (had the chicken biryani, chicken korma, samosas, and naan)
